With summer vacation time just around the corner, the Fort Museum enters its 44th year of educating the public about our unique and proud past. As we prepare to greet our customers, we would like to ask for your help.

The goals of the Fort Museum are simple:

• Preserve our history
• Teach our children and future generations about that history and foster pride in their heritage
• Attract the traveling public to Fort Dodge to share that history

In 2008 the Fort Museum will attract people from all fifty states and forty to fifty foreign countries. These visitors will spend their money in stores, gas stations, restaurants, and motels in Fort Dodge and Webster County.

The Fort Museum is good for Fort Dodge. Unlike most museums and non-profit organizations, the Fort Museum is not supported by your tax dollars. We try to "earn our keep," but we need you too. Fort Dodge has a past we can all be proud of. Help us instill that pride in our young people and introduce that past to a wider audience. Become a Business Member todayl
