The East Exhibit Building houses the bulk of the pioneer, Native American, and military collection of the museum. Exhibits here include items from the history of the City of Fort Dodge and it's early industries of coal and gypsum mining and stoneware pottery. The Native American collection features Plains, Northwest Coast and Desert Southwest items. Military exhibits range from the American Revolution through Operation Desert Storm with emphasis on the Civil War, Spanish American War and World Wars I and II.
